A Study on Features of Grammar Contents in Curriculum and Texts in 7th Curriculum System

Abstract

This paper aims at investigating properties of grammar contents and texts in the 7th curriculum system. I find that inquiry study and trimming korean are properties of 7th grammar curriculum. In this paper, I investigate how properties of grammar curriculum are realized to grammar texts. In 7th grammar curriculum, ‘language and korean, knowing korean, trimming korean’ are proposed in contents system. Former two are united to ‘knowing korean’ as basic knowledge in korean education ; last one is regarded as attitude content. Inquiry study method is proposed in 7th grammar curriculum. Inquiry study aims at student-centered teaching and learning. Trimming korean aims at cultivating good attitude in korean life. Inquiry study and Trimming korean are related with cognitive scope and emotional scope respectively. Properties of 7th grammar curriculum, that is, inquiry study and trimming korean, are realized to grammar texts. First of all, grammar contents related with inquiry study are these ; establishing adverbial ending, dealing so-called ‘geora(거라)’ irregular inflection to regular inflection, dealing conjunctive adverb to conjunctive adverbial ; extending adverbial clause, extending passive․causative expressions ; extending category of sentence, extending methods of dissolving ambiguity. Next, contents of trimming korean are realized by inserting unit ‘gakkugi(가꾸기)’ in grammar text. Concrete contents of trimming korean are these ; change of grammar name(chinese name to korean name), establishing new big units, that is, lexicon and korean norm, etc.
