Abstract

Developing Writing Activities for Life-term Writer Park, Soo-jah This paper intended to review recent writing instructions based on writing process and strategies, and design the learner oriented syllabus of writing activities, which are focused on writer's self-regulation in writing planning and self-expression opportunities. For cultivating the life-term writers living in 22nd century, writing instruction programs should be modernized and developed in the view point of learner oriented education : giving more choices to students on a writing planning step, encouraging students' self-regulations on their whole writing process, and cultivating their own written styles. Therefore, this paper supposed several writing instruction sources, focusing on supporting students' writing planning and elaborating their own styles. They will be important suggestions on making new textbooks for 2007 revised curriculum.
