With the recent spread of Fintech, Insurtech is attracting attention from the market with new innovations in the insurance industry, and investment and interest in Insurtech is increasing worldwide. Insurtech is a combination of ‘Insurance’ and ‘Technology’, which means innovative insurance services that combine new IT technologies and insurance such as artificial intelligence, big data, and block chains. In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the number of users of the Insurtech service with digital new technology is rapidly increasing. In this study, we have selected the digital insurance platform service that has the broadest user base among Insurtech services and conducted empirical studies. The research model is composed of service characteristics(system quality, information quality, service quality) and user characteristics(personal innovativeness, self-efficacy, perceived risk) based on UTAUT and the purpose of this study is to investigate the causal factors of digital insurance platform service. In addition, gender, age, educational background, and smartphone usage time were used as control variables to analyze the difference of control effect. As a result of analysis, information quality, which is a service characteristic factor, influenced performance expectancy and effort expectancy, and service quality influenced effort expectancy. The additional results of this study are as follows. It was confirmed that the user"s personal innovativeness influenced performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence and self-efficacy influenced performance expectancy, perceived risk affect performance expectancy and effort expectancy. Finally, the UTAUT basic variables, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence, have a positive effect on intention to use. Based on the results of this study, practical implications for domestic insurers and digital insurance platform service companies are summarized and suggestions for future related research on Insurtech are suggested.
