Abstract

The researches on teaching-learning methods of Korean language have been developed and expanded on a large scale in recent 10years. Even though they have been depend on the results of foreign language education researches, in fact they result from the adaptations and self-development considering Korean language education itself. As the result of them teaching- learning methods of Korean language education have taken a step forward from simple adaptation of general pedagogic adaptation. But it is just another starting point to develop systematic teaching-learning methods, various general models and sub- models. For these, we need much more interest and changing our minds on teaching-learning methods of Korean language. Especially, the pinpoint is that the ‘contents’ and ‘methods’ can not be managed separately. In to the bargain, ‘the contents’ which is focused on real teaching- learning situation should be considered ‘the methods’ much more. In other words, the viewpoint such as methods-based on-contents, contents-based on-methods are needed. From now on there are much more discussions and effort to develop and upgrade our independent teaching-learning methods of Korean language on the basis of experiences and knowledge obtained so far.
