A Survey of Planning and Management on Korean Language Instruction

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to survey planning and management on Korean language instruction and to understand thereby diverse aspects of Korean language instruction. Many Korean language teachers make a year's program and a unit's teaching plan before instruction. The majority of them make a teaching plan with reference to teacher’s guidebook. In school Teachers have few opportunity of subject conference. Teachers hardly have an opportunity classroom observations in school. Teachers think that the curriculum of Dept. Korean Language Education is of a little use in planning and management on Korean language Instruction Proceeding from what has been said above, it should be concluded that planning and management on Korean language instruction is determined by the ability of teacher. This is interpreted that Korean language instruction is planned and managed diversely according to personal quality as teacher and teacher’s view about Korean language art. As a consequence, the curriculum of Dept. Korean Language Education should be revised to focus on a teaching method and teachers should conference fully planning and management on Korean language instruction in school.
