Abstract
The Analysis of Patterns of Contextualization in Speaking & Listening InstructionPark, Chang-gyoonThe purpose of this study is to analyze patterns of contextualization in the Speaking and Listening instructions. The first concept and characters of instructional context and contextualization are argued. Futher, patterns of contextualization in the Speaking and Listening instructions are analyzed and interpreted. The materials of study include 30 lessons of 4 classes in 4th H-elementary school. Patterns of contextualization in Speaking and Listening instructions are collected, analyzed and interpreted through qualitative research method. The results of this study are as follows. First, contextualization of participants. Second, contextualization of message form. Third, contextualization of message content. Fourth, contextualization of language use. Fifth, contextualization of situation.To study aspects of contextualization in the Speaking and Listening instructions of multiple dimension, we will need to continue studying the relations between patterns of contextualization and, the functions of contextualization in instruction.
