Abstract
Understandind the cross-disciplinary essay-writing test Park, Jeong-haCross-disciplinary essay-writing test has two characteristics. It focuses on thinking power for problem solving. Evaluation of creativity is especially important. Here it means convergent creativity that can apply what has learned to different areas of study. Evaluation method puts weight on the thinking process. Cross-disciplinary essay-writing test devides the problem solving process into stages, then poses multiple questions in order to do a detailed analysis of the thinking process. Division into is the standard model for examining the ability for study in universities.Cross-disciplinary essay-writing test has good influence on evaluation and education. In evaluation, it increases the fairness. Furthermore, it can evaluate basic abilities in the humanities. In education, it contributes to development of the public education. And it results in spreading essay-writing education over the all areas of study.
