Abstract

The aim of this paper is to investigate changes of Text-Types and Text-tokens in Korean Curriculums, in the textbooks of before curriculum and modern-curriculums. Curriculums and textbooks don't have close relation from 1st curriculum to 4th curriculum, because text-types and text-tokens described in each curriculum aren't properly reflected on materials in units of each textbooks. In the times of 1st-4th curriculum, there aren't close relationships of Korean textbook-subject matter and curriculums of Korean language education, their styles are most of 'cannon' texts, called ‘Dokbon’, which mean ‘Reading’. But from 5th curriculum, text-types and text-tokens described in each curriculum properly reflected as materials according to domains of language-arts. According to establishment of modern curriculum, many text-tokens in 4 text-types become concrete and authentic. This shows a few features that;Unit-form of Textbook is developed more and more modernistic, and curriculums are contextualized with authentic language usages. In other words, text-types and text-tokens in Korean textbooks through 1-7th modern curriculums are developed systematically and modernly.
