Abstract

There was no such thing as natural relevance in the way of understandinghuman kind in the literature education. However, approachmenttoward ‘nature’ as a way of understanding human will enable us to reachoverall understanding about ecological problems including natural, socialand cultural scientific perspectives. This thesis deals with ‘plans for readingeducation of literature’ as a specific methodology for ‘sustainabilityliteracy’. It’s in terms of ‘ecological trait of literature education’ meeting‘learner and teacher as a human’ and ‘text as language structure’, and itcommunicating with ‘environment’ and ‘creating layers of meaning’. Specifically,‘sustainability literacy’ is understanding the system as a whole inrelation based on epistemology of complications, and conceptualizingthrough thinking ability. This concept ‘sustainability literacy’, particularlyin language education, indicates understanding human, language andenvironment in their complex relationships and communicating with thesystematical results within them. I came up with theoretical format whichenables learners to understand own experience in reading environment, have good relationships with teachers and peers around, and maintainthese actively and consistently based on the complex relations.
