Abstract
This study educationally conceptualized the “meta-awareness of lexical concepts” and addressed their educational significance and implications. The meta-awareness of lexical concepts can be defined as “explicit knowledge of the vocabulary concept itself, intentional attention and thinking skills, and conscious awareness and sensitivity” and attitudes to examine and reflect on vocabulary concepts. This study is educationally significant in the following ways; By paying attention to vocabulary concepts, students can build their knowledge of vocabulary, and develop a positive and active vocabulary attitude. Moreover students can develop thinking skills, perform social practice actions, enhance language or lexical awareness, and enhance humanistic insights.
