Abstract
This study conducted a nationalwide survey of 378 high school students to investigate the actual status of high school students’ digital literacy activities. The main results are as follows. First, students frequently used a smartphone, and the frequently performed activities were watching videos, using messengers, and social media. Next, students tended to be reluctant to share or experienced difficulties in sharing and participation, which are more emphasized in digital literacy. In addition, viewing learning content, searching for information, and reading on the Internet showed a relatively high correlation with digital literacy cognitive efficacy. Based on the research results, educational implications were suggested.
