Abstract
This study identifies the current period as a challenging time in cur- riculum development. With the aim of researching and developing the Korean language curriculum, this study provides an overview of native language curriculum content frameworks from various countries to gain insights. The curriculum frameworks from Ontario, Canada, the national curriculum of Australia, CCSS, and IBMYP were examined; the results show that the frameworks prioritize integration and connectivity across sub-content areas, with language functions organically linked to knowl- edge. Some curricula aim to concretely implement competencies and demonstrate movements toward integrative restructuring. Additionally, digital platforms are accompanied by rich and specific resources.
