Abstract
This thesis discusses the teaching-learning method that can be used in teaching modern poetry. It searches the method that doesn’t force student to receive teacher’s teaching passively, but considers his positive poetical-thought and encourages him to have inner dialogue. This thesis discusses three aspects of dialogue. Firstly, it is the inner dialogue in reader’s inside, secondly is the horizontal dialogue between students, finally is the vertical dialogue between student and teacher. Being based on three aspects of dialogue, the procedure of ‘dialogue- centered teaching-learning method’ is as follows. ‘Understanding of knowledge about poetry → reciting of poetry → inner dialogue of reader → dialogue between students → dialogue between student and teacher → adjusting the meaning of poetry’.
