Abstract

This paper investigated beginning Korean teachers’ perceptions on teacher education curriculum. This quantitative study examined teachers’ perception on 1)teacher professionalism, 2)subject matter education lecture. This study showed that beginning teachers are well aware of the theory and knowledge than instructional method or evaluation. And beginning teacher learn theory and knowledge better than method or evaluation through subject matter education lecture. On the other hand beginning teachers are recognized as important for instructional method and evaluation in teacher education curriculum. Implications and ideas were suggested for further research on teacher education curriculum in secondary school teacher preparation program.
