Abstract
The rapid societal change based on the digital and technological development influences the literacy environment, prompting researchers to explore the new aspects of literacy, namely, digital literacy. Yet, a multitude of literacy studies still have focused mainly on the cognitive aspects of literacy: the affective aspects of literacy do not get the full attention they deserve. As the main research of digital literacy focuses on the cognitive domain, so do the measure and assessment. As one approach to investigate the affective domain of digital literacy and its assessment, this study reviewed the existing assessment tools on the affective domains of literacy, such as reading attitude survey and reader self-concept questionnaire. The analytic result of the 20 available assessment tools revealed the need for developing a new assessment tool, which should consider Korean contexts, ground on more systematic theories, and be useful and straightforward to implement.
