우리나라 청소년들의 읽기 태도 양상에 관한 연구 — 읽기 목적과 읽기 매체 변인을 중심으로 —

초록

이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 청소년의 읽기 태도 모형을 탐색하고 모형에 따른 읽기 태도의 학교급별 양상을 분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 전국 분포의 중학생과 고등학생 2,942명을 대상으로 하여 McKenna et al.(2012)의 수정된 읽기 태도 문항을 투입한 뒤 확인적 요인분석(confirmatory factoranalysis), 다집단 요인분석(multigroup CFA), MANOVA 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 확인적 요인분석 실시 결과, 읽기 목적과 읽기 매체 유형에 따라학습 목적 인쇄 텍스트 읽기, 여가 목적 인쇄 텍스트 읽기, 여가 목적의 디지털 텍스트 읽기, 학습 목적의 디지털 텍스트 읽기의 4요인 구조의 읽기 태도모형이 χ2113=1458.738.(p<0.001), CFI=0.942, TLI=0.90, RMSEA= 064의적정 적합도 지수로 선정되었다. 둘째, 학습 목적의 읽기 태도는 인쇄 텍스트와 디지털 텍스트 간에 0.7의 높은 상관 수준을 보였지만, 여가 목적의 디지털 텍스트 읽기는 다른 3개의 읽기 태도 구인에 대하여 0.05~0.2의 매우 낮은 상관 수준을 보였다. 셋째, 읽기 태도에 대해 중학생보다 고등학생의 읽기태도가 더 긍정적이었고 여학생이 남학생에 비해 읽기 태도가 더 긍정적인것으로 나타났다. 여가 목적의 읽기 태도는 읽기 매체에 상관없이 학교급별차이가 통계적으로 유의미했고, 학습 목적의 읽기 태도는 읽기 매체에 상관없이 통계적으로 차이가 유의미하지 않았다. 학습 목적의 디지털 텍스트 읽기 태도를 제외한 나머지 읽기 태도 구인에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다.
