전사 방식에 따른 쓰기 평가자의 베타파와 감마파의 차이 분석

초록

이 연구는 평가자들이 쓰기 평가에서 손글씨로 쓴 글과 키보드로 쓴 글의 평가 과정에서 차이가 나타나는지 알아보기 위해 평가 단계별로 뇌파를 측정하고 전사 방식을 독립 변수로 설정하여 베타파와 감마파의 차이와 변화 양상을 탐색하였다. 첫째, 글 평가 결과 Cronbach ɑ 계수에서 손글씨 .945, 키보드 .913의 높은 신뢰도를 보였으며, 전사 방식 간 평균 점수의 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 둘째, 전사 방식 간 뇌파의 차이는 좌측 전전두엽(Fp1) 부위의 베타파와 감마파 모두 평가 단계 후기에 손글씨가 유의하게 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 평가 단계 전기, 중기, 후기에 대한 변화의 양상을 관찰한 결과, 전전두엽 부위의 베타파가 손글씨로 쓴 글은 평가 초반의 베타파가 거의 유지되는 반면, 키보드로 쓴 글은 베타파가 평가 초반에 비해 감소하였다. 감마파는 양쪽 조건 모두 평가 중반에 높아지는 경향을 보였으며 이는 평가자들이 평가 중 겪는 인지적 부담에 따른 정신적 스트레스를 반영하는 것으로 해석되었다. 전사 방식이 평가자의 인지적 부담과 스트레스에 영향을 미친다는 연구 결과를 바탕으로 쓰기 평가에 대한 시사점을 도출하면 다음과 같다. 먼저 평가의 실용도 측면에서 평가자의 피로도를 줄이기 위해서는 손글씨보다는 키보드로 쓴 글이 유리할 것이다. 또한 키보드 쓰기 방식은 글씨의 후광 효과에 의한 평가 점수의 신뢰도와 타당도를 저해하지 않게 하기 위한 방안으로서도 유효한 가치가 있다.
