PAIR 전략을 활용한 독자 고려 교육

초록

이 연구는 대화적 관점에서 기존 독자 고려 교육의 문제점을 분석하고, 그 대안으로 PAIR 전략을 제안하는 데에 목적이 있다. 기존의 독자 교육은 독자를 수동적인 존재로 가정하고, 전통적인 인구학적 분석 중심의 구체적이지 못한 독자 고려 내용을 제공하고 있는 문제점을 지니고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하고, 필자의 독자와의 대화 능력을 제고하기 위해서 작문 과정에서 필자가 독자와 대화하기 위하여 구사한 전략을 텍스트 분석을 통하여 추출한 PAIR 전략을 활용할 수 있다. PAIR 전략은 독자를 글에 초대하는 P(Positioning, 위치지우기) 전략, 독자로 하여금 글을 읽게 만드는 A(Attracting, 끌어들이기) 전략, 독자가 글을 쉽게 읽도록 도와주는 I(Informing, 정보 조절하기) 전략, 독자가 보일 반응을 예측하여 미리 대처하는 R(Replying, 반응에 대처하기) 전략으로 구성된다. 이 연구에서 제안한 PAIR 전략은 학생들이 작문 과정에서 독자를 고려할 때 무엇을, 어떻게 해야 하는지에 대한 구체적인 아이디어를 제공해준다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 그러나 이 전략의 타당성과 효율성에 대한 검증이 요구된다는 점에서 후속 연구가 필요할 것이다.
