초·중등학생의 독서 성향 및 행동 양상 분석 — 서울 지역 초·중·고등학생의 응답 결과를 중심으로

초록

이 논문은 서울 지역 초·중·고등학생 42,517명을 대상으로 한 대규모실증 연구로, 디지털 환경 변화 속에서 청소년의 독서 성향과 독서 행동을분석한 것이다. 전반적으로 학년이 높아질수록 인쇄물 읽기 태도와 독자 신념이 낮아졌으며, 디지털 읽기 태도는 반대로 상승하였다. 특히 중학교 2학년에서 전반적 독서 성향이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 여학생은 남학생보다 전 구인에서 유의미하게 높은 독서 성향을 보였다. 독서 성향과 행동 간에는 유의한 정적 상관이 나타나, 정의적 요인이 실제 독서 시간과 독서량을 매개하는 핵심 변인으로 확인되었다. 이 연구는 초·중·고등학생의 독서 성향을 다차원적으로 규명하고, 학년별·성별 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 독서 교육과 성향중심의 독서 지원이 중요함을 강조하였다.
