Abstract

This study aimed to draw implications for improving the curriculum in the Korean high school credit system by reviewing the system of the Hong Kong curriculum, focusing on the native language curriculum. Hong Kong has placed great emphasis on core subjects that are essential and has focused on opening elective courses and acquiring basic knowledge in various fields. The subject is divided into essential and optional parts, thereby increasing the autonomy of a school to select from the optional parts. In addition, the evaluation of Hong Kong is similar to that of Korea, and it consists of two aspects, namely school evaluation and public examination
