계획-주도 유형과 수정-주도 유형의 글쓰기 수행 분석

초록

이 연구는 대학생 필자들의 글쓰기 전략 유형화 가능성을 탐색하고, 각 유형별 쓰기 수행의 양상 및 그에 의거한 지도 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 84명의 대학생에 대한 설문조사를 바탕으로, 10명을 표집하여 쓰기 과정 녹화 및 인터뷰 자료를 수집하였으며, 나머지 74명에게서는 쓰기 결과물 및 자가보고 자료를 수집하였다. 자료의 분석은 질적 양적 혼합 방법론으로 수행되었다. 분석의 결과, 대학생 필자의 글쓰기 전략 유형은 사전계획 의존도에 따라 네 단계로 나눌 수 있었다. 또한, 사전계획에 대한 의존도가 낮을수록 쓰기 과정을 이끌어가는 원동력은 수정하기 전략에 기대고 있었음이 판명됨에 따라, 최종 유형은 크게 계획-주도 유형과 수정-주도 유형으로, 그리고 네 단계는 각각 강한 계획-주도, 약한 계획-주도, 약한 수정-주도, 강한 수정-주도 유형으로 명명될 수 있었다. 한편, 글쓰기 전략 유형이 결과물 질에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 단순 회귀분석의 결과는 유의미한 영향이 없다고 보고됨으로써, 이들 네 유형은 모두 온전한 유형으로서 인정받을 수 있게 되었다. 아울러, 각 유형별 강점과 약점에 대한 분석을 바탕으로, 유형별 지도 방안도 모색하였다.
