시청각 교육 이론과 커뮤니케이션 모델의 국어 화법 교육 적용

초록
본 연구의 목적은 정보통신공학과 커뮤니케이션학의 기초 이론에 초점을 맞추어 시청각 교육 이론과 커뮤니케이션 모델을 분석하고, 국어교육에 적용 가능한 이론적 틀을 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 과학적 근거가 부족함에도 계속 오용되고 있는 학습 피라미드 모델을 비판하고, 화법 및 미디어 교육에서 커뮤니케이션 모델을 적용하는 전략을 제안한다. 1970년대 이후 경험의 원추 모델은 근거 없는 학습 피라미드 모델과 널리 결합되어 왔다. 국어 기능 영역에서 이러한 오해를 이해하면 비판적 읽기 연습의 소재로 활용하여 그러한 신화가 어떻게 형성되는지 탐구할 수 있다. Westley와 MacLean의 커뮤니케이션 모델은 대인 커뮤니케이션과 매스미디어 커뮤니케이션을 모두 설명하고 게이트키핑과 다양한 형태의 피드백 요소를 포함하므로 국어 화법 및 미디어 언어 교육에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있다. 또한 Shannon과 Weaver의 수학적 커뮤니케이션 모델에서 제안된 엔트로피와 잉여성 개념은 텍스트 및 담화 수준에서 국어 사용 전략으로 다루어질 수 있으며, 복잡한 다중양식 텍스트의 이해와 표현 전략으로 활용될 수 있다. 엔트로피와 잉여성 개념은 디지털 교과서의 적정 정보량을 논의할 때도 유용하다.
